Another amusing game is called ‘rerebonan’, also known as ‘bebentengan’,’prisprisan’ or ‘omer’. This game is played by two teams, each consisting of 4 to 8 children. Each ream chooses a home base, usually a pole or pillar as their ‘castle’. The main purpose if this game is to attack and to take over the rival’s ‘castle’ by touching it and the shout ‘rebon’. Victory can also be gained through finishing off’ each rival member by touching a certain part of their body. When that happens the child will be capture. In this game, each child takes on the role of striker or spy, or disturber, or ‘castle’ keeper. The game requires an ability to run fast, but it also requires excellent strategy.
